I heard a rumor ...

... that I have an appointment at the groomer's soon.
I kinda have this crazy longish hair and it gets matted sometimes. Well, I have more mats than usual and Mama and Curt can't get them out the normal way.
I also get kinda pissy when someone even TOUCHES one of my many mats.
So I guess Mama has resorted to the appointment. I will hate it and complain and whine and cry even though I know it is necessary.

Shoe Time revealed!

Curt and I have this tradition on work mornings. He puts on his shoes and I run over to him to get some petting and loving and rub on his shoes.

Aren't we so cute?

After Shoe Time I run to my cardboard scratching post and do some scratchin'.

Bonus pic of me below:

I am very smart and know how to get my toys out of my toy basket. Tonight I got my carrot. You can see me here makin' sweet sweet love to my carrot. Ahhh, carrot, I love you!

Comfy time

So Mama and Curt have this coat rack that Mama got for 13 bucks at Big Lots when we still lived in Phoenix.
Since we have lived in the Bay Area Mama and Curt have acquired a lot more coats.
Some time back Mama was hanging some coats and one of the "arms" broke. No biggie. Well, last week another one did.
Mama left her coats lying on the floor for a few days.
And I definitely benefited from that:

Another A+

While Mama and Curt were out of town Ruff Ruff took care of me again.
I like Bettina and Joey. They are always so nice to me--giving me treats, petting me, brushing me and loving me. (My report card was yet another A+.)
But I am really happy to have Mama and Curt home.
Right now Mama and I are watching Ugly Betty while cuddling on the couch with the comfy Curious George blanket. Speaking of George, apparently Mama visited the Curious George store in Cambridge.

Extra shoe time

I was very lucky today and had got shoe time from Mama and Curt. Usually I just get shoe time from Curt.
But this morning Mama gave me some extra petting while putting on her shoes.
Shoe time=Joey getting some petting and loving while the human puts her or his shoes on.

Go Joey! It's my birthday!

Today I turned 15. So it has been almost 15 years that I have been with my mama!
In human years I am 76--an old man. But I am pretty fiesty for my age.
This morning Mama gave me a brand new cardboard scratching post with catnip! Woot-woot!
I was kinda suspicious of Mama this morning. I was worried she was going to try to squish me into that stupid carrier.
She left the scratching post out for me--not in its usual spot. And I kinda wasn't sure what to do with it.
When Curt got up this morning he pushed it into its regular spot. Ahhh! Much better.
So far a great birthday.

Check out this nice letter from my doctor's office:

Dear JOEY,
We heard a rumor that someone very special is having a birthday today, you! We hope it's a memorable one, full of fun and hugs from your favorite humans. Here's wishing you a happy and healthy birthday and many more to come. Oh, and one more thing -- let your favorite human handle the birthday candles!
Sincerely, The Doctors and Staff at Broadway Pet Hospital

Hanging at home with Curt

Curt is working from home today. Now I have someone to meow at all day. But, well, it is Curt. I would be much happier if Mama were here. But Curt will do.
That being said, I am enjoying having Curt here because he opened the front door for me so I can look out, meow and soak up some sun. I havn't quite figured out how to open the door myself when I am home alone.
I thought I heard Mama say something about it being Friday. So yea! That means Mama and Curt will be home the next couple of days.
Happy weekend everyone!
Meow!
