It's my birthday, partay time

So today I turned 16. That means my mama has had me for almost 16 years. We came together after I was found in a Dumpster with a litter of kittens. Can you believe someone threw me away? I mean, I am so freakin' cute!
This morning I got some treats and a catnip pineapple. Then tonight I got more treats and a catnip banana. Mama also brushed me. I love it.
Click here to see video of me with my new banana. I am showing it who's boss!

Clean bill of health

Over the weekend Mama and Curt were mean and shoved me in a little box and Mama drove me to the vet.
I hate that, &*%$!!!!
But apparently it is something that has to be done at least once a year. I just hate it. I mean who likes a thermometer stuck up their butt? Who likes getting shots or having someone poke at my mouth to look at my gums? Definitely! Not! Me!
But Mama got a call from my doctor yesterday and he said all my tests came back and looked good ... especially for a kitty my age.
You know, I am almost 16. Yup, I am becoming an old man.

This sucks

So Mama and Curt tricked me yesterday. I knew they were up to something. So I ran and hid in the spare room. But somehow Curt got me. Then they shoved me in that little box you see pictured above. I hate getting in that thing--it usually means torture: nail trim, shot, temperature taking, groomer, teeth cleaning ...
But once I am at the vet I don't want to get out of the box. I get scared and I don't like being poked and prodded and have my teeth looked at. It just sucks.
Once we got home and Curt opened the little door I shot out and pouted for a bit. Mama is a sucker and gave me treats and said I was a good boy. I gave her the cold shoulder for a bit, hoping to make her feel guilty and never make me endure that torture again.
Today is all good. Just lots of lounging and napping and even some treats.

Lots of visitors

Mama was out of town over the weekend visiting friends in Phoenix, where we used to live.
Mama and Curt's friend Catherine was in town over the weekend. Catherine hung out at our house one day watching football and cuddling under the Curious George blanket. I cuddled by her feet. At first I was confused. She kinda looked like Mama, but not quite. She smelled girlie. But she wasn't Mama. But I like her. She is nice to me.
Right now our friend David is staying at our house. He is sitting on the couch with Mama and me while I am blogging.
David stayed over last night and is staying tonight before heading out of town tomorrow.
David is pretty nice to me, too.
I like having friends over.

Meowy Christmas!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Top pic is my holiday card. Bottom pic is me getting my Christmas stocking last night. I got a catnip mouse. Not sure if I liked the mouse or the stocking better.

I love the holidays!

Sorry for being such a slacky, bad blogger. But ya' know, what do I really have to write about?
Mama and Curt got our Christmas tree yesterday. It is all pretty and decorated and smells so yummy. There are also a couple of ornaments with pics of ME! Meow!
I am a good kitty and never jump on or into the Christmas tree. But I like to hide in the corner behind it. And if there are any gifts with ribbons ... oh, watch out. I love to chew on ribbon.
Happy Holiday Season!

I am not afraid anymore

OK, first of all Mama vacuumed twice this week. I don't know why she had to do that. I hear her say something about me dropping clumps of hair around the house. Hmmph.
Usually the second she opens the closet to pull out the vacuum (that is also where my carrier is--dang little box) I scram. I like to hide under the futon in the spare room until that awful thing is put away.
But the past two times I haven't been scared of it. Mama vacuumed and I just hung around. I heard Mama and Curt talk about it later.

Also, Mama and Curt had a little party last night and usually after a few people show up I scram. But I decided to hang out and be part of the party. Aileen was here and I always like the attention I get from her.

I am having a great weekend. My grandma and stepgrandpa are here for the weekend. My mama had her birthday on Friday and it was a fun celebration. Then the party last night and today I think there will be some lounging--one of my favorite things.
